Default My radiator fan doesnt start but the she is good READ PLEASE ...

Ok my fan never start but I test it and she works great.... all the wires have been tested and they are good so I changed the sensor who tell to the fan to start ( sorry I just dont remember the name of the sensor...)

So last time I filled my car I put distillated water with REDLINE .... and if I remember I heard that this sensor have to detect a correct pH in the coolant to see if it is the right fluid....

Is it true if yes the problem is the coolant fluid .... I will put 50/50 water and prestone like usualy...

Thank

well in the cooling fan system you have a fan, a fuse, a relay, a coolant temp sensor, and some wiring. you can check all these rather quickly by jumping the coolant temp sensor with a paper clip and the key on. if the fan runs while the coolant temp sensor connector is jumpped then its a bad sensor. doesnt have to have the right ph levels or anything like that.

This sounds like total BS... Anyone else know anything about this?

I know this is a completely idiotic question, but where is the coolant temp sensor responsible for the fan coming on and cutting off? Is it the one right on the thermostat housing, or is it one of the sensors in the head?

I ask because I NEVER see my radiator fan come on. My engine doesn't run to the red, but the needle pegs out about exactly halfway.

Also, is there any way to test the relay?

Often it's on the thermostat housing, but not on all Hondas.

It does NOT measure pH. That's just BS.

If so, that means your fuse, relay, & wiring are all OK.

Much appreciated oh trial user of 2288 posts.

I am running a B18A1 but am using a B18B thermostat housing and the sensor on it. The sensor on the back of my block is not doing a thing but plugging the hole.
