crx choking out
can some one help me figure this out. when i shift into first the car sounds and feels like it is going to choke out, almost as if it is losing power. also when this started a weird noise started coming from underneith the timimg belt cover. it sounds like something is spinning without any lube. if you know what this is or sugesstions i would appreciate it. also does any one know a good decent priced place to have a dohc zc swapped into my 88 crx hf in or around kansas city?

sounds like a bad timing belt tensioner. pull off the timing cover and check to see if the belt is loose. i would recommend fixing this asap, or you will be buying valves and still doing a timing belt. and please use factory honda parts despite what people say it really does make a difference.
haha if that is the problem he would be lucky that is all he will have to replace if the tensioner breaks and cause the timing to jump.which we should all know by now that 90% causes vavles to get bent.
