Is the Mobil 1 for motorcycles a full synthetic? I heard that if you use a full synthetic it will ruin your synchros. Is this true?

Well, I am not sure about the logic, but because the engine and tranny share the same oil. I only say this because a local Honda motorcycle dealership said it will ruin my tranny. I am interested in putting the best in my bike, but I don't want to damage anything.

Honda HP4. The engine and tranny do share the same oil, and unless you have kevlar clutches full synthetic will cause premature clutch failure. If you're ever unsure just check your owner's manual. They're with the bike for a reason.

(and don't give me that "I'm smarter than the owner's manual" crap- I've been ASE certified for longer than some of you have been driving, and a mechanic for even longer than that)

Spectro 100% synthetic and a Honda OEM filter.

@ $20 a gallon, can't beat the price!

"The more expensive synthetics; AMSOIL, Mobil 1, and Spectro offer the only truly significant differences, due to their superior high temperature oxidation resistance, high film strength, very low tendency to form deposits, stable viscosity base, and low temperature flow characteristics."
