Don;t mind what the ignorant people say about the swap. The B20 is a great motor for the G3 teg. I ran one for a few months last year, and granted, it wasn't extremely fast in a straight line, but it was a killer on the autoX track, and a blast to drive on the road.

I hit 140whp and 130lbs with nothing more than an intake and exhaust.

If you have a GSR why would you want to downgrade. You can throw the B20 block on and get best of both worlds. Is that what you meant?Maybe in a LS a B20 would be a nice swap.As far as the GSR goes,I wouldn't swap it out.Maybe its just me though.

You can drop in the B20 in the GSR definately. It is not such a bad idea. Maybe he bought a GSR body and do not want to spend all that money for a B18C motor or he wants to go turbo at minimal cost. The car will be as fast or a little faster than a LS integra.

No question is a dumb question because if the person who asked the question knew the answer to that question, he would not have asked the question.

what if his B18c is not working?
Or like my situation, I was rebuilding it at the time?

Compared to a b18c, the B20 isn't anything special, but it's a lot better than the b18b motor in the same chassis.

I have a B20 in my car w/ no mods and I beat gsr's. The motor has good torque, but IMO def. needs a vtec head and a set of pistons thats all! If I were keeping my car I would have went vtec the power gains are enormous. The only problem with a B20 for you is no HP seeing you are not familiar w/ cars just buy a H22A,B18c/5, or a B16 less hassle, b20/vtec can be a problem if you are not familiar w/ it. But, overall I love the B20!

Definately a B20 Vtec is sick, but you'll run into problems with it. Just with the proper mods it'll be running like a champ with low end torque and high end horsepower. That equals sickness-

Basically, you'll be building an LS motor.
We've done it before with LS heads, and b16 bottoms, and they make good power. Plus, they're so cheap, if they blow, who cares?

Definately a good, cheap alternative to the complete VTEC or Non-vtec motor, especially if you want to get funky with boost, or nitrous.
