My region is making the move to mandatory AMB transponders this season, and that's a hefty $300 expense I hadn't counted on. Does anyone know of any group buys for them?

I believe South Carolina and Atlanta Region SCCA sell them for under 300. I *think* Atlanta Region's were less expensive and they were either 225.00 or 250.00. This was 2001 and I am not certain on the price but that's best of my memory.

 

The best price I've found so far is $295 shipped for the battery powered unit, and yes I believe it was through the Atlanta region SCCA. I'd be pretty happy spending half as much on a used unit.
