opinions vary but I would say a f22b1 or h23 tranny for boosted situations and if your going all motor or h22 swap... you may want consider the h22 tranny for the shorter gearing.

h series trannies are too short for f series motors unless you do all city driving. 80mph at 4k on a f series is not good for long term use.

the h23 tranny is not that much shorter than a h22. i would stick with a f22b1 tranny for f series motors since it's probably geared the most favorable.

unfortunately im all auto right now, so all motor i should consider H22A for both motor and tranny? otherwise the F22B1 or H23 for boosted motor other than H22A?

Yes, if your going all motor h22, go with a h22 tranny....if your going boosted h23 or f22 I would go with f22 tranny. Just because of gearing, and are you wanting to stay auto? IMO its more fun to drive a manny...although I am having manual envy right now (I am auto at the moment)

i feel you man. if i decide to keep working with my 94 then i will do the swap and conversion. its due time in teh next year or so to make some moves with it. autox is rough on automatics. i like the sound of H22A throughout.

Well the h22 is such a diverse engine...if you want all motor its there to build and if you want boost it can be done as well....not to mention the accord is pretty light and has a great frame to work off of, thats why a lot of people like the accord/h22 hybrid. I plan on it very soon, just waiting for my car to take a big enough crap to give me the excuse to do the swap. Not to mention since everything in the engine bay is out you might as well clean it up, if you want to paint it do it now....and also do the manny conversion if you want in the mean time I will be in the corner drooling about my swap to be good luck to ya and take some b4 and after pics.
