In-car video lap of Roebling?
I have several Atlantic coast tracks in my collection but not Roebling Road. Anyone have it hosted somewhere so I can take a peek? Or I can host it if you have vid but no server...
Thanks!

Yep, nice high speed, flowing track. Just rough on tires (well, I guess I should say "tire")
BTW, Nice vid

Hey would you guys mind talking about the proper lines at this track. I'm considering... started getting things set up... for the double school in February.
... By looking at the course map for RR, I had the feeling that the first turn was a double apex.
Thanks for the video!
You also said some lines where bad and "Yes... the problem has been rectified!"
I'm not sure where your lines where bad, can explain where?

OK.. the errors:
turn 3.. The one after the 2 right handers... aka the first big 180 degree section.
There is a concrete patch midtrack in the corner.. I should have been on the inside (left) of the patch. Outside where i was has no grip..
Going into 6 I should have used more of the roadway..
Then on the last turn that leads onto the front straight.. I started my turn in a big early.. There is a concrete patch on the left side.. Its a small one.. you should see that, pause a second and then turn in.. Thats the optimal line...
Others feel free to comment.. Those are the big mistakes i see on the video..

There was a thread fairly recently with a video from an entire spec miata race in it --> the one where the guy came from the back of the pack. That would be a good video to find since it would show you the race line (at least in a miata) and some consistent laps.
I've tried searching, but can't find it.

T1 is different depending on who you talk to. Imo it (t1&t2 complex) is definitely the toughest corner at roebling, by far. There are many different lines through there ranging from doing a double apex tighter line, to a much wider line that only has an apex towards the end of the turn (t2). Unless you’re looking out through the driver’s window, it’s also one of those corners that you’re always going to tell yourself that you could have carried even more speed going into it. I've been searching for the best line through there since my driver's school. RRR is a really fun track if you have plenty of tires.

I agree completely. I have had plenty of tires and still always feel that I could carry more speed in there, or be faster.
I have tried both ways over and over and I carry more speed going down to 4th, back to gas and driving "down and in", braking again in middle up to third, turn nose power out inside curb, curb out, back up to 4th and peg it all the way to turn 5 hanging the ***
I am not recommending driving it this way though as every single lap feels like I am losing it (literally). I seem to own in there based on other drivers comments but I don't even begin to act like I "like" driving it like this. I know I can be faster if I spend more time but in the meantime I will take the butterfly every lap
Keep in mind this is with plenty of tire

BTW I watched that video that Want2Race posted and think the lines are terrible
I see that he posted they were but I was suprised he didn't end up rubber sandwich, guess he wasn't going fast enough (just kidding as I can tell that is a street car someone didn't want to wreck
That is a 1:32 lap though

Now the scary part is I dont know where the kidding starts and the true comments end.. But seriously my lines were not optimal.. I had great rubber on the back and crap up front.. Basically just beating the hell out of the stock BMW between the corners and driving like a ***** through the turns..
Could have been more aggressive but a) I have no ***** in racing.. and b) It would be a long walk home if I screwed up...
both problems can be overcome with money

Long corners like that leave you with so many options that you have to be flexible and optimize your line for the situation you find yourself in - following, being follwed, running alone, etc. In Adam's video, there are a number of cars that are running pretty much identical lap times, all in different places on the track.
Re: double apex corners, I am hard pressed to find that a good answer except in slow corners, "squaring them off" like motocross riders do to maximize braking efficiency and lateness and minimizing time spent going slowly and changing direction. That might work on the tightest corner at RR but it may be faster in real life than it looks on the flat screen...
