I'm throwing #1, #2, and #23 codes after the swap. Both oxygen sensors are bad and the knock sensor. My questions are, since I'm going to a DC sports SS 4-2-1, should I still use both sensors? Should I weld new bungs onto the header where they will monitor banks 1and3 and 2and4? Is there any way to elimate 1 sensor? Does anyone have any for sale? Do the sensors have to be for a Bseries vtec motor, or can I use my stock SOHC sensor? Help me out if ya can...Thanx,

 

The primary sensor belongs at the end of the collector near the flange. There should already be a Bung there. The secondary sensor usually goes after the cat on the outlet. YES-I have a stock 89 O2 sensor available; drop me an e-mail.

 

Only reason I ask that is because on the stock JDM header, the sensors are side by side...???

 

I rarely see a difference, yet alone a CEL for secondary o2. On an 88-91 vehicle there are no o2 sensors at the back of the collector, or past the cat. (that's only on 96 and newer cars.)The stock SOHC o2 will work fine. You should also verify the wiring on your Knock sensor.(should be pin b19) good luck.
