get a flat head screw driver and carefully pry it out of the dash, it should pop out rather easily with the blank or switch that is next to it

ya i got a blank next to it

so just pry it out slowly eh?

sorta like how you pry out the HAZARD SWITCH!

i dunno know about you, but if i just get it with my finger tips and pull top then bottom then top and so on, it comes right out

Are you sure your not thinking of your hazard switch? My clock is held in with three screws.

LOL ya sorry i meant the hazard switch!!

i did the red clock mod today so i mistakenly wrote clock when i meant to write hazard switch.

how easy is it to take the switch apart? i want to paint the bulb

just pull the switch out of the plastic surround, and on the side of the switch there are 2 brown circular things, those are the bulb bases, twist them and the bulbs will come out.

when painting the bulb, don't get paint on the contacts, or the bulb will not work

and only paint the bulb that lights up the switch, leave the on/off indicator clear as it runs through a colour filter anyways
