Default What size slicks for my Integra?

I had been using the MT 20x6x14, but one of them has a hole in it so now i'm going to buy a new pair and was considering getting a larger/wider size, either the 20x8x14 or the 22x8x15.

Right now all I have in my GS-R is i/h/c/e; I estimate peak power/tq to be at 160/120. My clutch is an Exedy Organic, pretty much a stage one. My best 60' on the 20x6's is 2.033, ET of 14.786@92.903mph. I was launching at 6k. Tires were at 15psi.

I don't plan to add any more engine mods anytime soon. So which size would be better? A buddy of mine also mentioned the 22x8x13, but I feel that may have too much sidewall and bog the motor or put too much stress on the axles. Thanks.

The 22's may be a bit big for the power you are making...I would try to lower the tire pressure on the 20x6's and see what you can do...once you get the max outta those then you may wanna step up to the wider 20's...with more power of course...

Just remember that if you use the 22/8/13's that you'll have to get a spacer otherwise they won't fit over the brakes. I would just go get a new set of your 20/6's and lower the tire pressure like Turbologist said.

Thanks for the replies.

From what I've read, though, the Lenso VPD will fit GS-R brakes, no need for a spacer.

I would say 20/8/14's or the 22/8/15's depending on your gear ratio's I would lean towards the 20/8's. My bro has hit 12.5's on that slick! HTH Rob

Hi 96dc2 if your torque to the wheels is 140 to 160 go with the 7.5/23-15 .

I wish i had that much torque, John. I only have the bolt-ons, so it's about 120 lb/ft torque.

I'm on a stock GS-R tranny. With the 20's i'm ending the 1/4 in the middle of 4th. The 22's would put me closer to the stock tire diameter (23"), though. With street tires i'm shifting into 4th right before the 1/4. But as mentioned in other threads, I probably don't have the HP for the 22's at the end.

Anyone out there use 22's with a bolt-ons GS-R?
