Okay guys I'm stripping my wheels.. What color should I paint them?
Okay guys I've finally decided to paint these 4th gen prelude wheels (15x6.5) I have sitting around. They are currently stripping, and when I get them totally free of paint and cleaned, I want to paint them, but I'm just not sure what color. So help me out, please! Right now I'm thinking about just doing it silver then clearcoating it, but I'm also open to gunmetal or something else, I'm just not sure if it will look good. Anyways..
Here's a picture of the wheels:
And a picture of the car (5th gen accord, gold/champagne color):

I would have kept them stock too, except there were lots of scratches and curb marks that i wanted to sand down, and it just didn't look the same after that. So painting it is pretty much my cheapest option. The general consensus seems to be either gunmetal or silver... so I'll paint one wheel of each color and see which I like better.
Anyways, thanks for the input and ideas.

Yeah, I used the Aircraft Stripper from walmart, but ran out of it and used some other stripping thing. It doesn't eat up the tire, as the chemicals are designed to just penetrate paint down to the surface. Hell, I left the stripping stuff on overnight, and it wiped right off in the morning. It leaves a brownish residue, but it'll come off easily.

Just finished one of the wheels. I'll eventually paint the H in the center cap black.. I think that would look pretty good.
