Any WCHC cars in L.A Auto show
I didn't see any WCHC cars.
Mazda brought a race prepped 3(what it was prepped for, I don't know). There's a really slick DSP Mini S in front of the Wheel Warehouse display. It's right next to the Rolls Royce with 22's. You can't miss it.
Gary Sheehan had his Subaru on display, complete with racing acquired door ding.
There was a Bondurant Z06 on display with other Corvettes. If you're going to see the new C6, don't bother. Chevrolet didn't bring it.
Morgan brought their Aero 8 SPEED WC car. That was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, the show was a bust. Big concept cars, and soon to be released cars just weren't there. Nothing within my grasp interested me over what I drive today. I guess that's a good thing.
Car of the Show - Lincoln Town Car "Ultimate L". More comfortable than any car in it's class; A8, Jaguar XJ, S600, you name it. More leg room than my living room. The right rear passenger also has the ability to move the front passenger seat forward, just in case they didn't already have enough leg room. It looks like a luxury car, it feels like a luxury car, and damnit, it's American. It also comes in a Ballistic Protection series.
Quote of the Show - Keep in mind that in order to even get near any of the Bentley's you need to make an appeal to one of the Bentley reps, and must then be allowed in to the 'showroom'. A scruffy looking gentleman asked, upon seeing the massive turbo W18 engine... "Where should I bring this for servicing? Do you have people that can fix this thing? Or should I just find a good shop and service it there?"

"Yeah, any local lube and tune should have it covered."

Is the Lotus Elise on display, and can you get near it? That's the one car I'm looking forward to seeing, hopefully up close.

It's there. Actually, about 4 or 5 of them are posed on display at the Lotus exhibit, but they are roped off. I'm sure if you present yourself as a well-to-do club racer Lotus would be happy to let you in for a closer look.

I wish I knew a lot about club racing, but my HPDE intermediate group credentials
weren't enough to get the guy to let me sit in an Elise. It seemed he wasn't allowing anyone behind the lines.
Learned a lot more about the Elise though. It basically has a full built-in roll bar. That display of the bare aluminum chassis was nice too. Got to see the Sheehan Subaru. Clean race car. Decent show overall.
