Castrol oil question
Which is better for my car Castrol 5w30 regular or 5w30 Castrol high mileage? Does it make a real difference? I have a 98 accord with 114k 4-cyl. motor.
go with Shell Corp. Rotella T Synthetic. It is intended for deisel fleets, virtually shock proof, coke proof and far superior to Castrol naturals. Here's the neat part, the price just dropped to $12.84/gallon and its available at Wal-Mart. If its good enough for a Kenworth V16, its good enough for your 4banger. As far as the high mileage, just more detergents, so if you maintain your vehicle well, then regular Castrol will be fine.

The dude who had my car before used Valvoline dino oil for the whole life of the engine...every 3k....the engine now has 244,500 miles on it....it runs perfectly....so I'm sticking with what he's been using.
My Type R gets Amsoil Synthetic though...I used Mobil 1 Synthetic in my integra before...it's a GREAT oil.
You can't go wrong if you use Castrol regular dino. It's also an outstanding oil.
