Like topic says hoping for between 450-to 500 hp..whats a good size to get been looking at a 31x8x3 let me know what u think???

 

thats a nice size! ive got a 30x6x2 (so it would fit nicely in the grill of my bumper) but i would stick w/ the size you are looking at..

 

It's rare that I agree with the "bigger is better" croud but ICs is one case where bigger really is always better, unless it's the size of a piano. FYI more shorter tubes is always better than fewer longer tubes. Why? to answer your question, the largest one that will produce the most cooling for the air going thru it, with the least amount of pressure drop!

The ones with the largest flow area (i.e. least restriction and slowest flow velocity thru the tubes), and tubes no more than about 15"-18" long. Look for one with LARGE end tanks. Or use the formula A^2/L where A is the flow area thru the tubes and L is the tube length. The IC with the highest number will have the least pressure drop.

Yes, that one is big enough for your needs. The end caps could be a little better and not so boxy but it should work well. Did you notice that the first two pics in the auction are of different ICs? I wonder which one you'll get?
