Default Need some alarm info.

I'm looking to get an alarm, asap, but i'm going to be doing a swap into my Sol sometime within the next few months. Will I be ok getting the alarm now with my stock motor, meaning, will anything have to be reinstalled/rewired when the new motor is put in.

- was in the market for an alarm so i've been reading/researching ALOT over the past month. finally decided on a prestige aps-510a ($69.99) has option to add remote start, glass mic, radar proximity sensor etc. overall good alarm for the price. get a backup battery siren (dei 515R $45.00). no use of a backup battery if you can't hear the siren huh? also no need for a glass mic if you get a radar proximity sensor. the proximity senses movement....like someone breaking your window, so don't waste dough on a glass mic just get the proximity ($19.99).

- prestige/audiovox/code are good alarms for the money, not too cheap - not too expensive. when deciding on an alarm you have to think about what options you want.

- some webpages that will help you out if you plan to do the install yourself.

car wiring guide http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/vehicles.asp
buying an alarm and great shipping/service http://www.bndonline.com/caralarms.html (they even got the viper 790xv if you wanna go all out)
for some installing tips and wiring code http://www.designtech-intl.com...ments/

good luck and do plenty of homework
