Default Got a new CRX

As many of you guys know my 90' CRX Si was stolen awhile back. What ended up happening was two arrests, most of my parts returned, and the guy who stole my CRX handing me the title to his 1990 CRX Si in barbados yellow. This car is now sitting in my dad's garage. It doesn't run, it has no head just a blown block and trans. My boi sold me his 88HF motor for tweenty bucks and I'm planning on swapping in the HF so I can get this bad boy running until I can get another motor. Anyway...I had a couple of q's concerning the swap...
1.) I need to know for sure that the CRX Si engine harness is compatible with the HF motor I'm putting in. The HF motor is 1988, the Si and harness is 1990.
2.) Will the exhuast manifold and downpipe from the d16a6 fit on the HF block?
3.) How hard is it to swap out a heater core? Has anyone had to do this yet?
4.) the L3 trans. on the a6 will work with the HF, correct?

Basically I'm dropping the d16a6 block and head from the Si (blown motor) and swapping in the HF block, head and manifold but still using the Si trans. Let me know whats up...I'll try to post pics of my new rex soon...

well hey at least you got a nice, rare crx out of the deal...i know many people who would kill for a 90 BY Si...so hide this one...as far as swapping, i think there is one more sensor on the HF than the Si...i forget which one though...everything should bolt into the car though...

yeah the one sensor is the EGR.. if your using the SI ECU don't worry about it.. but its gonna run shitty as hell.. only 8 valves but the SI ECU is dumping more fuel then it can handle.. i'd at least try and throw a 16 valve head on that ****.. anyways, good deal.. glad you got a ride.. pretty fucked up people around your parts.. i wouldn't have kept the stuff i stole.. they shoulda sold it all and bought something with the cash.. but at least you made out like a bandit(like they did)

it should run fine.. i've never driven a HF before but it shouldn't be that pokey.. i've driven a std.. and it wasn't to bad..
find out the pins for the EGR on the ECU and run the wires.. if you don't it will throw a check engine light and proably run rich as hell and get bad gas miliage cuz it will be in limp mode

Hey wait a minute...my guy has a d16a6 head. could I just throw that head onto the HF block and run it with an Si ecu? If I do that can I avoid the egr valve wiring issue?

The HF pistons only have reliefs for a 8 valve so the haed swap will only work if you swap pistons.
