Default need help this very moment.

Ok well i decded to mount up my friends special edition transmission to my b16 i had to use the special edition clutch but when i bolt together the transmission...all i get is like half inch of play in the cable arm thing wtf there is no way i can get the cable to reach. how much arm play should i have???

there is quarter of a inch of play and the cable isnt even hooked up.

If you only have that much play, I'd say you have a problem with the T/O bearing. If the retaining clip/return spring is not secured behind the clutch fork, it will cause the clutch fork to hang up. That's what makes your freeplay disappear. So unfortunately you will probably have to pull the tranny back out, and reposition the bearing with the clips on the back side of the clutch fork. Unfortunately for me, I tell you this from experience. On some occassions I have seen the clip pop past the fork with some excessive giggling. Although to be sure you should definately pull the tranny. Good luck.....
