sorry if this is a stupid topic but people with 17s did u notice a loss in performance. i just put an ex tranny in my hx and i think i should have more top end. is this do to the drag of my rims?? just askin becuase its been a long time since i had my hx rims and cant remember how fast i was. yes im very stupid for giving them up. i should be gettin some new ones soon. thanx peeps

im gonna be honest and not just jump on the 15 are better bandwagon.

i like my 17s.. They give my car a go kart feel and have less tire roll.

the only thing that i noticed that is bad about them is that they do give up a little bit of ride quality but my opinion on that is that if you drive a civic ride quality should be the least of your worries. Second is they are a bit more expensive for tires and i have notice a tad bit of acceleration lost. But i can deal with that since i would switch over to some 14s with drag radial for the strip anyway or some 15 or 16 for auto x. So pick what size you can afford adn you think will fit your needs.

 

yes, IMO you lose performance with 17's. But it ain't all that bad. I roll on 17's during the summer and love em cause they look good. but for the winter im lovin my 15" even more...

I dont mind sacrificing some speed for the look of the 17's.
