No oil in motor....shaking now...
Hey guys....a friend of mine just informed me that she realized that she was driving with no oil in her car. She felt the steering wheel shaking and that's how she checked to see no oil on the dipstick.
After changing her oil to a fresh new 4 quarts....shaking is still there.
How bad do u think the damage is? Is that rod knock?

If it doesn't have a hard mechanical clunk, it is not a rod. I have seen this problem before. It sounds like the camshaft has galled within the journals. This leads to erratic cam timing and the shaking you are describing. If the engine is not knocking, this is probably what is wrong. If so, the cylinder head is toast. The aluminum from the cam journals has now passed through the oil pump, so the clearances on the ring gear are probably off. If you pull the cam and find it has galled the journals, and you want to repair the engine, the entire bottom end will need to be disassembled and cleaned, the oil pump will need to be inspected, and all bearing clearances will need to be checked.
