Jetydosa,
Actually, its not just any McLaren F1, it's 1 of 5 prototypes made in the early days, notice above the sideskirts it says, XP4/Experimental Prototype 4, pretty cool, huh?! That car was simply beautiful, I felt very lucky to see one in person and being driven!!
Willard,
That intake plenum is actually BMW's last season engine, that's the Inline 6 found in the roadgoing M3's and used in the GT class of the Speedvision WC, if you look at the blue and white M3, youll notice that the engine bay is considerably different, since this season the factory sponsored teams in the ALMS have move to the M3 GTR engin/chassis layout [the chassis itself is still derived from the roadgoing M3 only more modified than last seasons race car!], and a 90 degree, flat-crank [ IRL fashioned], V8 engine! I cant even express to you how well those cars performed, they consistently overtook and challanged GTS class cars, and walked all over the historically dominant GT3's in the GT class of the ALMS, and everytime they went by I would of swore that a CART car just came screaming by!
