what gas should i use for supposedly 9.4 to 1 CR?

what gas should i use for supposedly 9.4 to 1 CR?
i have a 89 SI top half and a 89 DX block and i used the z6 head gasket and it all came out to = 9.4-1 compression , if thats true what gas should i use? now i use 89 but would it be wise to go up more or not?
