Just like the topic.....Just wondering how big of a change the 1.7L engines are, if any. I have yet to go look at one yet.

Its been done.

One difference is they have a returnless fuel system.

 

their is girl down here in florida that was in the process of doing it but i havent heard from her in a while. i think VTC_CiViC knows her. he could tell you whats up better than i can.

 

Oh Yvette, yea she's still peiceing it together though. There are at least a couple guys on here with boosted 7G's though. I think one of them is boostedD17 or something like that.

 

I have a boosted 2001 civic. It's the Stafford Fabrication kit for the d17. It utilizes a FMU with an inline fuel pump because of the returnless fuel system.

Yvette is modifiying her fuel system by adding a return line and bigger fuel pump I believe.

 

The returnless fuel system is an easy fix......im wondering if the 92-00 turbo kits will work with minor changes. Like the exhaust manifold bolt pattern and the like.

I think that maxrev has made a kit for the 1.7 and I have seen one in savannah Ga but it wasnt anything eye popping

Bolt pattern is different the old manifolds wont work. HKS makes one for sale at optauto.com. Also RevHard made one they want like 600 for it though. Maxrev dropped the ball on the d17 kit. It didnt fit right the guy had to go out and have them install it.
