Default This is what I sold my turbo civic for.....................

I sold my 89 turbo hatch one year ago and yesterday I picked this up from the frieght company........................

It's going in this.

I started it up with propane this morning. Seems to run good. I am going to hook up my motor vac to it to check the fuel system out......I am in for a few long weekends of work.

*wipes drool from lip* I was waiting for the pictures to load and saw the "Skyline" on the floor mat before the car loaded up: I almost **** myself, I thought you picked up a Skyline! But heh... Nice looking car.. I've had an urge lately to go pick up an old turbo Nissan or factory turbo car (or swap in a turbo motor) and build up a beastly turbo setup. Not yet though. Nice car, have fun.

I got a buddy here with an rb 25 in an 89 thats the exact same color. We may be ordering more in the future, where did you get your clip from? He got 2 gts clips real cheap from racing hard but he was their first US customer and nobody else seems to trust them.

It's a real long story for who I got it from. Took almost a year! Sorry about the pic size is there a way to resize them from my host?

I see that it,s a gts but is it a 2000cc or a 2500cc, but it will still shift, this conversion has been seen before in the uk but the guy used a huge top mount turbo and either a drag inlet manifold or greedy one ( throttle sits at front of housing the same as my gtr as opposed to in the middle@top on a gts) perfect for a FMIC. The standard car is very skittish in the wet i can only laugh at what its going to be like, hope you love drifting. scorchio

I am very eager to see how the car will feel once it is done. I already have the Rear end swaped out from an R32 and I also have the twin piston calipers for the rear brakes. From what I have seen from another conversion done in the same car as mine it should run high 13's with stock boost. But knowing my luck it won't get out of the 14's
It's an RB25 BTW.

nice, i'm still thinking about doing this to a 240 but i think i'm going to go with the sr20det, it's cheaper and i need to start setting budgets on car projects. if you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for the clip?

Dude you should hit 13's EASILY with a RB25. People were itting high 13' very low 14's on RB20's. Sadly, I never got the opprotunity to dyno mine. A guy who helped me with wiring on ym swap ran a 14.6 or 14.9 shifting at like 6800 with a jacled up fuel filter and some other stuff. So with the added HP of the RB25, and assuming your fuel filter isnt clogged to **** and you shift at the optimal points, you should hit 13's.

Prelude Si...a nice alternative to the SR20 is the RB20. More HP, less TQ but the price difference is NIC. I paid 1200 for my front clip, most SR20 clips from a reputable place are around 2200-2700 for a redtop. With the money saved, you can do some maintenance or upgrade the turbo, etc. Not knocking the SR20, it is a fine motor and you cant beat the availability of parts, but the more peopel do RB swaps, the more parts their will be....

rb25 in a 240 is a bad *** swap..here's some pics of my friends' were working on .

greddy intake manifold is a beast and you can fit a q45 throttle body on it.
not bad for a beater...

lol sirkid
I did a compression test on the motor today
Got 150 on all 6!
I just need a timming belt and tensioner pulley and then I will be ready to pull the motor. The turbo was spinning while I was cranking it. Gotta love those Ceramic BB turbo's
