Default LS engine motor sounds really bad...i need help quick

My engine, while accelerating, has been stuttering more and more as I drive it. I bought some engine cleaner (gumout 75,000+ miles) and will see if that helps when I get low on gas, but I'm afraid that the cleaner won't really help it. Any other ideas as to why it might be doing that would be awesome. BTW...my car has 151,000 miles on it and is a 1994. Thanks.

Try tuning it up, or do a compression test.

Wow that could be a LOT of problems.

I'd say take off your distributor cap & rotor and change those. Those sound like the culprit if its been getting "worse and worse" every time you drive it.

Well, I also remembered my O2 sensor might be smashed from when I removed the heat sheild a few months back. Would that have anything to do with it?

It might be because that tells the ecu what to do

Sounds like your spark plugs are going bad or you distributer isn't producing enough spark. When my LS did that I had to by a new distributer.

Usually when the timing belt goes out the engine just dies or runs bad for a few minutes then dies because your cams aren't spinning and no air is getting in or out of the engine.

But anything is possible.
