B18C5-EH2...what about if i'm putting a OBD I dizzy in a Non OBD car. the pins are totally different on the EF harness from the OBD I and OBD II dizzys
Your pics didn't show for me...have a link or something. I need this info also...thanks alot...I though I was gonna shell out money for this...
But I have a obd2 dizzy with a obd1 harness...I didn't see any other plug....God I am confused now.
EDIT: Pics finally worked.

I just figured out why mine didn't look like your pics B18C5....because I have a obd2 wiring harness rigged up to work on a obd1 ecu/motor. I would assume I would need an ob1 harness to make the obd2 dizzy on my car work...sounds like lots of fun with wires.

You cannot do that. The OBD1 dizzy has a completely different pulse rate than the pre-OBD ECU/dizzy combo, so even if you wire it up correctly it will ALWAYS throw a code 4 and/or 9 for the crank and cylinder position sensors and your engine won't rev over 3500rpm and it'll run like ****.
What engine are you trying to out into what car? Maybe I can help you...

Also for you too, what engine in what car are you running? What alternator and dizzy are you currently running?

Alright....I have a B20B obd2 block, GSR ob1 head, alternator is from the B20B. The wiring harness seems to be a obd2 harness and I am running a skunk2 program (real one) for street/strip that is obd1.
EDIT: Car is a '94 hatch CX

Okay I see. I too run the OBD2 engine harness in my ITR hatchback with the Type R dizzy and alternator and I did not have to change any pins at all and I run a P28 rechipped as well.
Your code 9 means that you do need a new distributor though.

Oh yeah ask for the OBD2 TD84 which fits all OBD2 GS-R, ITR, and B16A engines. It should be a one-plug direct fit with your OBD2 engine harness.

well, i'm running and 1st gen b16 right now...but i'm getting a 97 ITR head, and w/ it is coming the OBD 2 dizzy. i have a OBD 0 to OBD I conversion harness and i was going to run a OBD I p30 ecu. thats why i was wondering if i could use the OBD 2 dizzy and run it as an OBD I. Otherwise i was gonna buy a OBD I dizzy, and sell this OBD 2. Make sense? i know the wiring can be done, cuz there are plenty of EFs out there running OBD I conversions w/ the stock EF harness.

you could use a obd1 distributor on a obd2 car. but you have to rewire it. you need the other end of the plug with wires on it and just match them up. i do believe the colors of the wires where different, i just took a 95 gsr wiring diagram, and a 98 civic diagram and sodder them together. it took me about 25 mins.

First of all the LS distributor won't work because the mounting "ears" are completely different than the VTEC distributors because the VTEC solenoid is in the way of one of the ears.
Secondly I guess you could always unpin those two wires pictured in my pics from the "extra" OBD1 plug and simply repin them into the two lower pins on the OBD2 plug for the distributor.
