aight, thanks guys, the reason i was gonna get the arospeeds was because i found some that are 25 shipped, and i was just wondering what everyone thought bout it, thanks for the help guys
Buy the Arospeed sleeves and perches, then buy a set of Eibach ERS or H&R 2.5" springs at rates of your liking. 8" in front, 7" in the rear.
If you're using stock shocks, any amount of lowering, especially stunna style lowering, is going to cause them to blow-out sooner or later. Arospeed or not.

actually I can vouch for arospeed coilovers,
and so can bauleycivic.
they are actually pretty good.
the springs are 450front 350rear
which is a stiff setup, but it handles very well.
I've had mine for a great deal of time, and have had no problems with any sort of spring sagging, or binding , or anything like that.
the sleeves work great, nothing has broken,
only problem I had was a pebble got stuck in one of the threads once, and made it hard to adjust until I got the pebble out.
but that can happen with any brand(gc included).
got mine for 110 shipped.
and you can buy just the sleeves from arospeed, I dont know many other companies that let you do that..
so yes, getting the sleeves and some custom rate ERS's would be a great cheap alternative to ground controls.
and to those that say arospeeds suck...
how about you try it before you bust out with ignorant bandwagon comments
P.S. yes your STOCK shocks will probably blow out after a while,
but a high performance shock like illumina, or konis, or agx can handle them..
just dont dump your **** man.

THANK YOU!!why do people put 300+lb spring rates on stock shocks then complain that they're bouncy?!WTF do you expect?!
also, why do people complain when they lower their car as low as it will go,riding around on bumpstops(or lack of)that it rides bouncy and blows out shocks?!
most coilover sleeve kits have about the same spring rates.the brand or quality has no bearing on whether the car will ride shitty-you can put GCs on stock shocks and it will ride horrible too.
i have 400 and 500 lb springs on my civic with AGXs and it does not bounce-rides and handles as good as any car i've been in with full coilovers...
unless you're an extremely good driver, and on a racetrack you'll never need the extra potential that a full coilover may offer over a good shock/sleeve setup.if you simpley want adjustable height on your car,and a good ride, get a good sleeve kit and shocks and save some money;then go on Ebay and buy a Tein sticker for your car so all the ****** can jock you and talk about how much better your Teins ride than some stupid sleeve coilover kit.
the main difference in the cheap sleeve coilover kits and higher end kits are just component quality.some of the lower end units use cheaper springs that may have a wider variance of rate and may sag over time or not retain their rate.the cheaper sleeves are sometimes so soft that the threads are easily damaged, leading to problems adjusting them in the future.
some of the more expensive kits use springs just as cheap as the ghetto kits.i've also got a few friends that have gotten $50-$100 no-name kits off Ebay that are pretty impresive.granted, you're not gonna find Eibach springs in them, but they have very well built perches with thick, course threads like GCs,and single adjustment collars.
bottom line-if you can afford GCs,get them.you know you're getting quality stuff, and they can give you custom rates based on your intended use.
the cheap kits are kinda hit or miss-you may get a high quality bargain,or you may get junk.

I also can vouch for Arospeed coilovers...and I have a friend with a set as well (his set conviced me to get them)
Here's my drop...1 finger gap all around:
I got them for $110 shipped off of ebay. I installed them in October of 2002, and set the drop to 1 finger all around...and havent touched them since.
I still have the stock shocks, and I have been VERY impressed with these things. The ride is a bit stiff, and a bit bouncy...but its 10 times better than stock. There is much less body roll in the turns, and the car is much more stable on the highway.
The springs havent sagged AT ALL. The drop is still the same as it was when I first put them on. I haven't had a single problem with them. Of course these coilovers aren't the best on the market, but for the price their value is UNBEATABLE. This is a great beginner suspension setup, and will improve handling, stability, and the look of your car as well. Arospeed coilovers

Dustin stop promoting your shitty Arospeed Coilovers. We all know they suck
Seriously though, I was skeptical when Dustin bought these, but after installing them and driving/riding in his car I was actually impressed. They are fairly stiff and provide a pretty good ride for $100. If you need cheap coilovers, Arospeeds really aren't too bad

What the hell areyou thinking. Getting arospeed coilovers is the same as buying max speed coilovers! (I have a set for sale pm me for details
) But man afford something nice like GC's or skunk2's

well man, i got double perch and i can tell you i am poor as **** but if i could go back i woulda spent extra to get singles.. cuz **** it sucks having to keep lifting ur car and trying to adjust the coilovers with those stupid *** "wrenches" that they give u that keep slipping and u cant see very well unless u take off the wheel too, then its even more of a pain... all to get your car balanced!

the GC style single-perches are definately easier to adjust.but,i have found that on double-collar setups liek Skunks that if you simply use the upper collar to get the spring where you want it,then just thread the bottom collar up hand-tight against it you shouldn't have any future problems.i used to actually tighten the two against each other thinking they would otherwise thread down, loosen or damage the threads.i've had both my cars like this for a long time with no problems-i can simply jack the car up and adjust them by hand.

Um...I don't know why you have to keep adjusting them in the first place...I've adjusted mine twice...once when I put them on the car and then a week later to set it right...
