Does anyone have pics of Papadakis before his first tube frame car? I've never seen any.

 

I don't have any, but... I've seen a few before. It was a black EF hatch. That's about all I remember. Didn't see no engine bay shots.

 

I have that honda perf book with some pics of his old HB, it had no bumper on it

stephs black civic ended up being the tube chassis car.which indeed made import history. just a little FYI

 

Kinda and not really. The old black car was cut up as a front half car for the Yellow Hatch. Although about a 1/4 of the way through the project they said screw it and made an entire tube frame car and bolted the new skins on. None of the old car was used.

 

actually I do remember them sayin that they did run the car front halfed and neted a mid ten. They than decided to go full blown and started finding all the rust and what not so they ordered up the civic shell.-pete

no what they did was use the roof of the old car. thats the only thing that they used on the new(old car) so yes it is the old civic "minus" a few things.

Wow, I remember that car. I was like 15 when it looked like that. I remember those ******** from DPR tried to pry his door open because his car was in there spot at CMI.

 

I saw it at bakersfield when it was sporting sohc w/ webers and nitrous. Mad old schhol.

I remember racing against steph at Terminal Island when it was SOHC and all PYR (Peter Yem)... before the Nitrous and Webers...
