I've got a DC 4-2-1 installed with a 2 1/4 collector. Car doesn't seem much more faster, but it makes my car a lot louder.

I have a 4-2-1 Ceramic DC Header. I have notice a performance gain on low end, but on High end it can't breathe. I suggest you get a JDM 4-1 DC Header. Less Performance on Low end ( better than Stock ) but great performance on High end. Combine that with a Good Exhaust System and you easily add 15-18 Whp. Also get Stainless Steel! The ceramic one starts looking like shyt after a while!

I was waiting for that one
For the $ I would probabaly get a jdm itr header, Oem, Bigger collector, Slightly more expensive than a stainless Dc header.
Back in 99 I had a 4-2-1 Dc header on my gsr, it was okay, biggest difference noticed was the wieght.
Oh and two answer your question 4-2-1 provides more midrange power, and 4-1 provides more top end.
Use the search button there is tons of info on this site.

i have the oem jdm 4-1.
I'd just do the smart thing and save your $$$ for the high quality headers.(sms, hytech, etc..)
Thats if you're going all motor.
I dropped in cams at the same time as the header.. so i cannot accurately gauge the gains
