I had a different post on the same topic but with a long story and I think it was a bit confussing to follow so I didnt get much feedback.

My problem is that my car idles rough and misfires in low rpm alot(havent tried WOT), I dont get a check engine light and cant figure out what to fix or replace. I have tried a different working o2 sensor from my freinds car and have tried a different working ecu and the problem hasent changed at all.

Some of you might be thinking that my engine may have internal problems but it starts and runs smooth from a cold start up until the motor basically gets worm.

PLEASE HELP ME

Sorry, fergot to mention its a 93 civic hatch with the following:

-lsvtec motor
-obd1 chipped p28
-rc 310cc saturated.
-apexi VAFC
-94 octane fuel.

 

Please someone help me out, im going crazy

 

Check your rotor and distributor cap.

Check ignition & crank timing.

 

how's timming?
what are your fuel settings at?how are your plugs?
obviously the problem starts when the car goes into closed loop mode.

 

Thanks for replying, I will check rotor and dist cap, plugs and timming I changed/checked recently.

I am also gonna try a different map sensor I have lying around.

 

I checked dist cap, rotor they are good and changed map sensor today and the problem still presists.

Timeing is set to the factory setting and all fuel is set to zero on the vafc and the motor still starts to rough idle and misfire after about 3 to 5 minutes from a cold start... I dont understand

 

My Vigor does that too. I just replaced the cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs and fuel filter. It runs fine at anything above idle but misfires when idling.

 

Spark plugs?

 

Checked plugs recently too, they seem fine.
