Default question about valve springs and retainers?

will valve springs and retainers for a vtech head, work on a non vtech head?

No. VTEC valve springs and retainers will not work on a non- VTEC
head.

Vtec , not Vtech ( Varible Valve Timing and
Electronic lift Control; the 'h' just doesn't work there)

the only reson why i posted this is because I got a friend that wants to sell me his type R valve springs and retainers and he wouldnt believe me when i told him that it wouldnt work. I told him I would post this so other people besides me can tell him that it dosent work. thanks guys
