Engine light is on, is there a self diagnostic on my 90 si civic hatch
I just replaced head gasket and car was running like ****, i messed with it all day today, its timed right, all hoses and plugs plugged in, well after i checked everything for the 10th time, it finally ran right, the only thing is my ENGINE CHECK light is on now. Is there a way to do a self diagnostic test on my civic, i think it involves the engine light blinking or something? or do i need to take it to a service center. My manual says engine light blinks a cetain number of times then i capare it to a chart in book, but i cant seem to understand how that works. If you can help i would greatly appreiciate it, thanks.
you have to look on the ecu. when the car is on the ecu will start blinking. count how many time it blinks then look on your honda manual and it'll tell you what code its throwing
The ecu is under the carpet on the pass. side floorboard. Under a bolted down cover. You can see the LED without removing the cover.
