Default What does a 88-89 gauge cluster look to compared to the 90-91?

I got this gauge cluster from the junkyard out of an LX sedan. I noticed the style of the dashboard was not like my hatch. Now I'm not sure if that was because it was a 90-91 or if Sedan was just different. The cluster I pulled from it looks just like my 88-89 cluster but I dunno something about it seems different. I'm going to sell it on ebay so I want to know what its supposed to go in. So do they look the same with just different wires or does each one look different?

I found an old picture of the back of my cluster. It looks different from this one. So does that mean it is a 90-91?

The differences are easy to recognize if you put them next to each other. One easy way to tell is by looking at the fuel and temp gauges. The 88-89 clusters have small screws going into the gauges here. The 90-91 clusters have none. Here is a list of the what works with what models:
88-89 civic: any 88-89 cluster will work
88 crx: any 88-89 civic cluster
89 crx: only an 89 crx cluster will work
90-91 civic/crx: any should work although Ive found a few civ wagon clusters that were diff from the sedan and hb's.
Ive tested lots of these clusters and this is what I have found to be true. HTH

In the "idiot box."

From looking in Helms it seems to me that this cluster is the "Nippon Seiki" and the one in my car is the "Nippon Denso." Just different makers I guess, same product. So I think it must be a 88-89.
