i have 2 10" volf's that are dvc's and i cant get them to sound good at all. i have heard 1- 8" sub put more sound out. i had the in a ported box with .97 cf per sub with 650 watts going to each. they handle 800watts per sub. i think it has to do with the air volume of the box but i dont want to go one way and be wrong and have to buy another box again. let me know if anyone has these or knows anything about them. thanks, Rick

 

I bought a 12 for my car and ran it with a shitty legacy amp (600watt) and it sounded just fine. Had it in a 1.3cf sealed box in a 89 cavalier and it sounded just fine, but then the **** caught on fire and I lost the entire car so.....

 

I think they're pieces of ****. A guy brought in 2 Volfenhag subs and a Volfenhag amp for us to install... We wired them in parallel, hooked them up to the amp, and they sounded OK. He had them in a bandpass box. Then, about a week later, he came back and tried to blame our wiring for the sub catching on fire, in spite of the fact that we wired them exactly as the directions said... I guess he got a new sub from them under warranty, but didn't want us to install it because he swore up and down that we caused the meltdown...
