which spark plugs?
ok, I did a search and didn't really find what I was looking for. I just recently installed some ctr pistons, and mugen head gasket on my b16. Now my motor has about 41xxx miles on it. and it's on the stock spark plugs. Do you think I should get some new ones? If so which ones would you recommend? Thanks in advance!!

if you using the stock type of plugs, they should be changed every 30,000 or so. I would say stick with ngk. Iridiums are not bad, expensive but they will last about 80,000 and they stay "clean" better off stick with the ngk v-power it still comes u[p to be chaper.

I was reading at that site and I came across this..
"An increase in the compression ratio raises both the pressure and the temperature within the combustion chamber. This will raise the spark plug tip temperature increasing the chances of pre-ignition. Adjustment in spark plug heat range is likely necessary, in addition, whenever compression ratios are altered, it may be necessary to modify the spark advance curve and recalibrate fuel system."
so it says an adjustment in spark plug heat range is necessary, and that other stuff..can some one explain that to me? and are these spark plugs you guys recommending good for my high compression ctr pistons and mugen head gasket?

ok so I ordered the ngk ix iridiums. so you guys are pretty confident they should run well with my b16 with ctr pistons, mugen head gasket, aem cold air intake, and apex'i n1 exhaust..did I make the right choice?

You made the right choice. The Denso's actually have more irridium in them but they are also more expensive. I have the NGK Irridiums now and would buy them again if I was in your situation. You'll like them and they will work just fine.
didn't read the whole post... but auto class revealed this today:
higher c/r = more dense air/fuel mixture = difficulty in spark traveling the gap... right?
so.. either increase the voltage for the spark, or lessen the gap!
