Default which injector is #1, the dist. side or the timing belt side?

like the topic says i dont know which injector is considered #1. does it go:
(dist.) #1 #2 #3 #4 (timing belt) or (dist) #4 #3 #2 #1 (timing belt)

the reason im asking is because i was running OBD1 injectors but now im running ODB2 injectors, therefore i had to change the injector harness back to OBD2 plugs.

I have a 96-98 civic manual and a 94+ integra manual that both says;
(dist) #4 #3 #2 #1 (timing belt) ,but i believe that when the OBD1 injectors were wired it was wired the other way (dist.) #1 #2 #3 #4 (timing belt)

does it matter which way they go?
