Here's what I know. Just get the first (base) Clifford Intelliguard w/ blackjack system. All the other stuff aren't really worth it. Also, for extra $75-$100 add a pager feature provided by DEI (parent company of Clifford). That should be around $500-$800 depending on what kind of hook-up you've got. After the alarm, get the club ($25), autolock ($50), shiftlock ($50), wheel lock ($30) and, if you're super paranoid, a pit-bull tirelock ($350). Total cost of all these mechanical locks should be about another $500. Of course, you can still add more crap to your car... i.e. hood lock ($35), removable steering wheel hub ($100-$300), fuel cut switch ($radio shack), GPS-tracker system ($300 yearly + monthly fees), etc. G'luck.

BTW, if you were to get all these security devices, you should've really gotten a beater car for $2000.

No offense, but none of this crap will do absolutely anything at all for you. Nothing beats a loaded gun and a locked garage. Out of sight out of mind. If you're gonna get any security system at all, just spend $240 on a mul-T-lock shifter lock and call it a day. No electronic gadget can compare to it. The club, autolock, alarms, etc. All a big fat joke! At least the Mul-T-lock will keep your car safe considering all but the most profesional thieves and/or tow truck drivers will be able to steal your car. You'll stop rookie/amateur thieves in their tracks. The pit bull wheel lock you mention is a honorable mention 2nd. But sorta impractical at times.

As the saying goes, if they want j00r kaa, dey will get it.

I layer anyway to keep the amateurs away from my kaa.

Private garage is very important and where you park/hangout is important as well.

I agree H-Pimp, that's why I said it's better to spend your security device $$$ on a beater. nothing beats a safe garage/storage.
