is it bad to use a higher amp rating fuse for the "ecu" fuse under the hood?
i just picked up a 88 crx hf w\b16 less than a week ago and i'm just doing an over-haul of everything and i noticed while i was looking at all the fuses that are in the fuse box under the hood the ecu fuse had one rated at 30amps but on the cover it says it should be 15A and it says "only use the amperage for the fuse its rated for" or something like that. well would it matter if there is a 30a fuse instead of a 15? did he use a higher rated fuse because its a different ecu i'm running or simply cause he didn't have any others available! this isn't a big problem...just something i'd like to get clarified so i know. ok thanks
never ever put a bigger fuse, if it pops find out why, you will end up burning up something or melting down your harness with an excessivey large use. If everything is right it will never pop the correct one.
chances are the previous owner replaced the fuse with a different one because it was all he had. honda has specs from the factory which are designed to work...and changing them is only going to do damage.

The fuses from the factory are already overkill or they would blow all the time after little spikes. If you're going to replace a fuse with something larger than spec, you may as well just bridge it with wire.
