Default clearcoating CF

seems ive lost my original post

but now ive consider d clearcoating my CF wing..

so my question s is what should i do to prep it..besides a clearcoat what else will i need...since its a small area can i just brush it on or does it need to be spray d?..

help me out guys..ive never done CF befor and don t want to *** it up

ha im in the middle of doing the same thing .. if your wing is like mine and completly raw no gell coat then you can use stuff called adheasive promotor to help the clear coat stick .. and yes it needs to be sprayed on.. and when i say sprayed i mean with real auto clear .. you will just mess it up if you use clear in a rattle can .. and you can get AP at your local auto pain dealer .. i use bull dog personaly . good luck

its clearcoat d..will the promotor work on that?..do i need to wet sand it a bit in order for the clearcoat stick?

i would sand it with 320 or 400 sand paper lightly, just to get it preped. then clean it off with house hold glass cleaner(windex,glass plus). and some kinda lint free cloth or rag .. then spray it

its goin to be done as soon as the whether begins to dry and warm up a bit..right now it ll take a week befor it dry s..also, the neighbor has a compressor and gun i can use..but keep the ideas coming

i just want to make this as painless as i can without having to pay out the *** at the shop

thats kinda my situation right now .. i live in APTS so not really a place to spray and if i tryed it would fisheye like crazy this weather sucks .. i wish it was spring .. anyway good luck man . post some pics when if you ever get it done
