painting trim and bumpers with matched color spray paint?
i was wondering if anyone had painted their bumpers with the matched color spray paint that is available. after 13 years of service the front bumper on my civic is looking a little less than spectacular.. especially after being lowered. the paint on my car is in very good shape for it to be 13 yrs old.. how does the spray paint look? i will probably paint the bumpers and trim all to color match. thanks
also, has anyone painted their center tail light piece to color match the car?? any pics? thanks

I would smoke the tail lights a color similar to the car. You can get translucent paint from most hobby shops.
as far as painting bumpers / trim to match the car. For the bumpers I would pull them off, sand them down and paint them up... and then detail the car.
for the trim, I would mask them off, use a deglosser and a degreaser to take off any grim, put a layer of primer down. and then spray it down with the stock color. (lightly sand if its rough)
Going to a napa or an autozone, you should be able to get the color of your car in a spray paint. As well as a clear coat.
The quality isnt like a paint shop, but if its not too important, thats your best bet.

I had a shop paint them for me... you need to put a flex agent into the paint or else it will crack the first time you lightly bump something.
I've accually been rear-ended at 5mph since the paint job and the paint held up!!!

since the paint on your car is old, the new paint would not match up too well (different shades because of being in the weather) the quality would depend on the prep work and temp. you could find a finishmasters or something in the area, they could fill up paint for you in an aerosol can. and you could talk to them about adding the flex additive. or you could just buy the paint at autozone or auto parts chain store and they should have what i think is called a flex promoter or something of that sort for when painting on flexible surfaces.
