***UPDATE: on page 2***

ok after doing tons of searching on here, i finally made my own catch can. it works pretty good but one concern i have is when my car is idling, the top part of the box caves in from all the vacuum. its strong plastic, but damn it sucks pretty hard, harder than i thought. mad suction...i hit the gas and it goes back to normal. i sealed the box up real good with rtv silicone. i just hope it dont implode from all the mad vacuum. hhaha ill let you all know in a few months if it actually works

Now that looks kinda like a project box that your might find at like a circuit shop or radio shack... is there any disadvantage using the plastic as opposed to lets say aluminium?

I also heard that it is better to used that 'lather builder' fluffy sponge that chicks use in the shower, instead of steel wool.

parts: 4ft. nylon braided pvc hose, project box from radio shack, 3M heavy duty stripping pads, rtv silicone, 1/8" drain ****, 3/8"x1/4" barbed elbows, 3/8" nylon barbed elbows, clamps...spent about $20 for everything.

yup, its a project box i got from radio shack. oh and i didnt use steel wool for the baffle. i used some 3M heavy duty stripping pads, kinda like sponges. it says on the back of the pack they came in, "The heavy duty stripping pads are tough and durable and wont splinter or shred like steel wool." its true they dont. i found this stuff is the best for using as a baffle.

it catches leftover oil/oil vapor that gets past the oil seperator, that would otherwise go into your intake manifold and be burned and so on and so on...

lmfao now that was a good one but it was kinda messed up the first time thats why I retyped it.
