Default Spark Plug - Running Lean.

This weekend I removed a plug from my R... They where changed @ 20,000 K's,my car now has 34,000 k... I noticed that the plug had a whitish tint. I was told that it is running lean... funny thing is my R is stock... should I let the dealer know this.... What are the symptoms of a car that is running lean, besides the colour of the plug.

How often do you changes the plugs...

A car running lean might run hot due to the higher combustion temperatures. About the only other way to tell is to install a air/fuel gauge or an exhaust has temp sensor. I would just mention it to the dealer and see what they say. Maybe they can run a diagnostic on the car. Any problems should be covered under warranty, so why not mention it?
