Agreed. I had the same problem on both my tegs, G2 and G3. When I would drive and hit the breaks the water would roll up under the back seat and get it wet. Definatelly check the gaskets.

i had the exact problem with my car (only in the trunk) there was about 2 inches or more of water sitting with the spare tire. it took me some time to figure out where the water was coming in from.
i had to remove both tail lights, buy new foam inserts, that sit between the tail light and the car. this is probably what's causing your problem. they've probably worn out. use a lot of clear silicone gel to stick the foam to the car. it wouldn't hurt to use the gel on the inside trunk of the car, sealing any spots you think might be giving you a hassle.
i hope this helps. it did for me.

i had water in my tire well a while ago. i found that it was coming in through the bolthole closest to the center of the car on the driver side taillight. i just siliconed it up and voila! problem solved!!

damn dude, that sucks.
Be sure to clean the hell out of your interior now. Even maybe have it done professionally.

My g2 was flodded so bad that back seats were getting soaked.

werd thats what i was gonna say.
If your taillights are leaking, there'll be water in them. If they're completely dry, pull out your interior and the plastic body panels in the trunk on the passenger side.
There should be a little vent, a hose, and a plug. If the hose isn't plugged into the plug. BAM problem solved.
IMO i'd check that before you dump $100 on taillights.

Water got in half of my interior too when I had my hydrolock incident. When I opened my door to get out water came in only on the drivers side. It gets a little smelly while it dries out but the smell goes away when it dries.

u will end up taking out all ur carpet.. if yuor floor is that wet.. because it is really hard to dry it well.. if water sits for to long you will get mold and your car will smell funny.. water came in my car from the spare tire area. i just took everything out and start siliconing all the holes.. next try the sunroof drain hose..if it is not that..strip down the whole car and start silconing the whole car....
its the drain tubes from the sunroof... behind the right rear interior panel in ur trunk there should be some hoses there.. one of the hoses came off and the water is just draining into the trunk/interior... check that
im having the same problem. i pulled my rear seats and they were drenched, my whole car is soaked, im fixing that all (hopefully) on thursday
