Default 7 year old stock shocks + prokits?

looks like imma get some prokits this weekend. do u guys think that my 7 year old stock shocks will hold up w/ the prokits? i have 85k miles on them btw. im in no rush, and planning on getting some kyb agx or bilsteins in the future. i was just wondering if i can get away w/ installing the prokits now.

if the installation is free then go for it...lowering will make the shocks work, harder therfore destroying them in less time...but if they are bad then you got nothing to loose..

i say, since the struts are out, why not save some labor money and have them replaced, unless its free like eg6ajk said.

Boingy boingy boingy. Your car might handle worse with the combination of Eibach springs + iffy shocks than stock springs + iffy shocks. You definitely want your new shocks in conjunction with the new springs.

i can forsee a blown shock/strut in no time since they are that old with lowering springs...springs and shocks work in conjunction and ideally should be installed together otherwise like said above its gonna be bouncy

thanks for the replies fellas. no, the install is not free, a guy was gonna charge me $100 for the install. since i have to pay, i think its best to do it all in one shot. sadly tho, w/ my student budget, i'll probably have to wait till feb

oh well its cool, being poor taught me patience....
