3k on top of the 28k or so that is spent on the car already...
nothing compared to buying an eg hatch for 2500, puting in an ls motor, putting in a turbo kit...whooping the EVO

If all you like to do is go fast in a straight line by all means....but corner for corner the Evo will MURDER the EG. Upgrade the suspensions and the Evo is still going to handle better.
I went from an EG Hybrid to an Evolution....yea the hatch is going to be cheaper but my hatch wasnt as fast in the straight, definitely not in the corners, and definitely not as new...different strokes for different folks.

I personally will take the EVO over the STi all day long. Just something about the deleted radio issue that drives me insane for some reason. If I'm that concerned w/ the weight I'll rip out the radio myself. Thank you very much.

dude most dealerships will install them....its just doesn't come from the factory with them....and **** if you can afford a damn STI you should be able to afford a nice sound system if it irks you that much.

Ummm, don't get me wrong because I am a viper lover and would give my left nut for one but they don't corner good at all. In fact they borderline corner bad so I would have to say the Evo will take it in the corners and probably even off the line.
