NOPI
Their roots are in the East Coast and thats where they'll stay. They didn't like the turnout at Fontana, and I cant blame them. NOPI goes where the Money is... NOPI was built on the foundation of making money not for the growth and needs of Racers.
Wussup Leila.. Happy New Year. Ya getting your Car ready this season against the Exospeed Sport FWD Coupe?

these events are already tricky enough to pull off. if they arent getting a positive response out west, why continue to go there? especially if they are east coast based, it makes it alot more expensive to put on the event. if they arent making money why go? i dont work for free nor do i expect anyone else to. do you?
NHRA is guilty of the same thing. They dropped thier Maple Grove Race (which in my opinion is the best track on the east coast, and I'm sure others will agree) due to low turnout i.e. $$$.

Exactly, what should have been their largest event(Fontana) was their smallest of the year. They had more people thru the gate in Texas(and it rained) before noon than they had all weekend in Cali. As strange as it may sound, it takes money to run these events and NOPI is in the business of turning a profit. Damn that a profound idea. The main problem lay with the accesibility of drag racing to the residents of Cali vs. other eastern events. You guys have tracks that open to street racers 4-5 nights a week and numerous tracks within easy driving distance. This section of the country we just dont have it. So when there is a big event people flock to them.
