basically your engine works less since its not spinning the power steering pump anymore. The addition Hotwheels is talkin about is the electric assist steering rack..that in theory should give you 5 free hp

not worth it, IMHO
after you procure the EPS CU, Torque sensor, motor and wire the 30+ conductors...... you get the idea.
For all you DC-5 owners, just get the pulley kit, free up 3-4ish HP and split the difference.
A very time consuming project with little reward....

eventually the plan will lead into a vortech supercharger, battery relocation kit, and then a water to air intercooler. need to free up space up front for this.
This "hidden" RSX mod hasn't been too much of a secret. King Motorsports' World Challenge RSX has already done this.
They replaced the RSX hydraulic ps to free up a couple hp by using the EP's electric version. It's pretty cool too-cause for every range of mph, Bob (Endicott) can adjust (via turn **** in the cockpit) the "tightness" or tension of the steering.
I'll try to post pics later of the control **** in the cockpit.
