What does the AC plug at the front of the GSR motor do???
Well when i got my gsr motor it had a cable that i could run an extension to and it plugs into the front of the block. I assumed it was an oil warmer for cold start ups. But no one has ever talked about it. I just assume its because the cable got lost right away. Can anyone explain what it is used for and how they use it?
its called a block heater.
warms up the engine coolant if you live in colder climates. works great in the freezing cold winters

Its only there to prevent the water in the block from freezing and cracking the engine, that would suck. I live in SoCa so i dont know anyone that uses it I've only seen it a few times. Usually you just plug them in overnight until your gonna use your car again. If it isnt below freezing temps then I wouldnt bother with it.
thanks. Ya I was just wondering if i should even bother using it. Like if would help reduce wear on start up or anything but i guess its not that cold up here in wisconsin. haha at least not yet :s
