Default Rear Strut Tower Bar Recommendation for Type R

I was thinking about purchasing a rear strut tower bar for my 98 Type R and just wanted to see which one some of you guys have used and recommend.
I was looking at the JDM Type R Rear Bar and also the Mugen rear bar. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

Look for the ITR or Spoon one if you don't want to cut your interior panels (if you care). Get the Mugen if you don't care about cutting.

I use a Carbing aluminum rear bar.

I'd say ride without it.

I haven't been for while and I have 500lbs springs in the back.

Auto Zone HKDM rear bar....$29.99.don't waste your money on JDM bling crap that does the same thing.they all attach to the rear shock mounting bolts.if you want something flashier, look on Ebay for a knockoff.

You do, the JDM requires you cut the covers, The Mugen requires cutting the side panels (harder and more$ to replace)

None. ITR is plenty stiff.

I have the Spoon rear one, and I'd recommend it. I also recommend getting a trunk floor bar that mounts to the bumper bolts inside your trunk. The one I have is ALEX racing and it made a noticeable difference in the in the rear.

Why?

For looks or performance?

Try not to get them confused.

Odds are you'll never feel the difference for $$$ spent, and a 4 point rollbar will provide more noticeable chassis rigidity. If you don't require the rollbar, you won't feel a rear strut tower bar.

IMHO of course.

But, I have both.

Related ?

How much of a difference does a rear bar really make... particularly brand A vs. brand B? Does a knockoff $30 bar feel any different than a Spoon or Mugen?

I was given a $30 knockoff bar for free when I first bought my R. I installed it before I even had the 1000 mile break in complete, so I never took it to the track without it. Will I feel much of a difference if I "upgrade" to a "better" bar.

Am I just being a silly goose?
