Default What can i fit in my 90 hatch?

ok, so i bought a 1990 si hatch, and all it has are clarion front speakers. I was looking at what would fit in the back. There are holes in the back cut out for like 4 inch speakers, which would be gay-so i was wondering if anyone knows if i can fit a 4x6 infinity kappa plate speaker back there, or maybe a 5x7 infinity kappa?

If any of you guys own an EF you know how they made it all gay back there so you can only fit a certain width...pics would be great to-thanks

i bought the speaker mounts from the dealer that allows you to put 6.5's on the things that hold up the rear shelf.

dont worry about rear speakers. spend money on better components for the front or a sub

i don't want a sub, Im going mainly for performance here, and i don't want the weight of a big amp and sub. I have ok speakers for the front, and i like the balanced sound of good speakers in the rear-otherwise its just music blasting at you from the front.

it says they are 4x6's, but are they exactly 4 inches wide?

you mean playing the music how its recorded isn't going to give you the best sound?? I've got alpine type X components (not the best but still alright) up front with an amp under the seat and it sounds 100X better than if i had rear speakers. I did have rears for a while but decided they jsut didn't sound right so now i have type-R's in my closet. with good components and a good install job you wont notice the difference. but thats my opinion...do whatever makes you happy
