My manual states 50 liters or 13 gallon capacity. Warning ligth comes on with 8 liters left. That's approx. 2 gallons.
This is assuming a US gallon is 3,85 liter, am I correct?

Definately not a good thing. Check the bulb and then if it still doesn't work then there might be something wrong with the sensor.

I have. It's definitely 13.2 gallons and the light comes on with 3 gallons left. You also have the gas that fills the lines and you can top it off, as I have squeezed 13.5 in before.
